I recently assisted at a wedding at the beautiful Willington Hall Hotel in the heart of the Cheshire countryside for Stephen and Michelle Collett. Stephen is an accomplished artist and I met him at the Artist Club in Liverpool where he is the resident artist.
I had the pleasure of working with Jason Howard Photography again and as usual things flowed smoothly and the photos were finished in good time so that the family and guests could enjoy their drinks and canapés on the terrace with views over the Cheshire countryside. Instead of a traditional Wedding Breakfast the guests were served afternoon and bubbles of course for the speeches.
We were later joined by their evening guests and we were treated to a fantastic firework display after the couple had enjoyed their first dance. A crucial part of the Toastmaster’s role is to ensure everyone knows what is going on throughout the day and have the close family present for the couples first dance. Stephen was made up with everything, the smooth running of the day and night and the light hearted way I introduced the speeches, especially as everyone concerned was not looking forward to their moment of fame!
A great day was had by one the staff at Willington Hall as usual were brilliant and all and I have since learnt that they are now expecting their first child. Congratulations!!!
