I was delighted to be asked to assist at Mike and Hayley’s wedding in Worsley Manchester recently. It was a delightful day inside but very wet outside but we managed to dodge the showers and take the pictures in and around the hotel!!
The staff we superb and Mike & Hayley’s family and friends were a joy to be around!! The very kindly sent me the following email.
My wife and I were recently married and during the months prior to the event we visited several establishments and spoke with many people in an attempt to find the right setting for our celebration. On one of these visits we met with a gentleman by the name of Chris Caroe, Chris explained at great length the duties a Toastmaster could perform leading to and including the event.
We had observed a few Toastmasters during our travels but none had stood out as much as Chris had. My wife and I discussed the services offered by Chris, our opinions of him and his presence within a room, and based on this we decided to book Chris for our Wedding. We met and conversed with Chris on several occasions throughout the months as we discussed the finer details of the big day. On one occasion Chris’s wife drove him to meet with us as Chris had undergone surgery to his foot and was unable to drive himself. One example of his commitment and attitude which we are now sure made him so different to the others we had met.
Chris reviewed speeches for us and met with the team at the Hotel several times to ensure every effort was made to deliver a faultless day. On the big day Chris was fantastic and everyone who had any involvement with him (Photographers, Chef, Wedding Co-ordinator and Guests) all commented on his professional, yet friendly attitude to the proceedings. He was there throughout to advise of the next steps and timings of them. The Chef met with us later that evening for a drink and revealed it was the only wedding breakfast he can ever remember that started and finished within the set timings.
We had a fabulous day and we know this was partly down to the efforts of Chris and his attention to every detail. Our only regret is my wife and I are unlikely to require the services of Chris again in the very near future; however we would have no reservations in recommending him to anyone requiring the services of a Toastmaster who is not only a true professional, offering exception service but a really really nice guy too….
